Griffith Observatory

If you are planning to visit Los Angeles, Don't forget to visit Griffith Observatory. Not only the fact the the admission is free also you will find it very interestingly beautiful. I find it really nice to just stroll around the grounds. The scenery is just breath taking. If you want to see LA skyline and the hollywood sign, better go to the observatory's rooftop (Best time is sunset, trust me on this).

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Last spring, my friends and I decided to take a short trip to California. I would say it was indeed memorable. 

I remember waking up at 3am just to catch our early flight. And as soon as we got to our boarding gate we all sat down exhausted and end up fooling around and next thing you know we are all getting page overhead. We look like idiots! Imagine if we actually missed it, who knows when will be the next flight to LA. Not to mention the fact that we have so much errands to do as soon as we get to LA ( such as picking up the rental car, hotel check ins and have lunch).  

What I hate about having a connecting flight is having to go through another security check especially if that airport is your point of exit out of the country. We arrived in Calgary an hour before our next flight. And of course as I got physically checked and have to go through body scan. Every single time I travel I always get picked on random checks. And I hated. Not only its time consuming, but why me? Does it look like I carry drugs and weapons? For a 5" tiny asian do you actually think I can smuggle something? I just want to say not only you're wasting your time but also mine.

As soon as we sat on our seats, Peter and I were knocked out. When we opened our eyes the plane was descending to Los Angeles. 

All I can say about LA is, The weather is perfect and its a nice city. So much things to see and do. I will definitely go back in the future. I envy those lucky folks who live in a city like this. 

I'll summarized our trip in one line: 

6 airports, 4 hotels, 5 Cities, 11 attraction sites, 2000+ photos = one hell of a trip.

Old school photos, I got thee

I got my early birthday present last week. Thanks to mom and dad, I can take photos and get the prints right away.

The only catch with this camera is the fact that the film cost so much. For 2 rolls I paid 38 bucks, and that can only take 20 pictures. In total I will spend approximately 2 dollars per print.

But who cares about the down side, for now I'm so excited to use this new little toy of mine.

For the love of Tea

Have you heard about David's Tea. If not, I am advising you to google it.

I'm not the type of person who follows the bandwagon, so when they first open their store here at the mall I was probably one of the few people who didn't bother to check it out. Today out of curiosity, I finally dragged my boyfriend to go grab a cup of tea. When we got there, oh boy! There's a huge wall of different kinds of tea. I was like "I don't know what to get, I don't even know where to start".

I asked the guy "So what's good?"

He grab couple of containers and he let us smell it. 

I was amazed, everything smells really good. From fruity to chocolate mints, almonds, variety of nuts and many more. 

I picked Long Life Oolong and Forever nuts for my boyfriend. 

It taste and smell so good. I have no way of describing it. All I can say is, I'm definitely coming back. I will probably throw a tea party in the future just to have an excuse to buy more tea. The price is not bad too. We only paid 5 bucks for 2 big cups of tea. 

Just a reminder to let them know if you're allergic to something. Some of them contains nuts.

How 2011 turned out to be

I guess its somewhat late to post a year-end entry but let me share how fantastic 2011 for me. Of course there's ups and downs but for now I'll share the wonderful experiences I had last year.

4. Sun Tanning (Yes I know, this is my first time  I actually baked myself under the sun)
5. Chased almost every single Disney mascot in DisneyWorld (Hey! I'm a kid at heart!)
6. Rode the California Screamin Rollercoaster in DisneyLand (Oh boy, I felt like I did not breathe the whole time
7. Had BUTTERBEER (Yes! Its awesome! Probably the best drink out there)
8. Tried Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans (Just want to say Earwax flavor is so gross)
9. Bought a Harry Potter wand, Chocolate frog (I'm disappointed it didn't jump like in the movie) Fred and George's Extendible Ear.
10. Learned about Yucatan Peninsula and Mayan Culture.

By the end of 2011 all I can say is "I'm damn broke", however I am truly blessed I was able to travel with my family and friends. There is no greater gift than spending some quality time with the people we love. I want my 2012 to be exciting as 2011 had brought me but I don't think I'll be able to travel as much as I did last year. I have to focus on bigger things like my career and to save up I guess. As much as I want to spend all of my money on plane tickets, purses and clothes. I think I need to really think about my future this time.
